Advocates of Justice for All
Legal research can be a difficult and time consuming task. The members of Justice Behind Bars have been professionally trained in legal research and are dedicated to making this process as uncomplicated as possible. We can efficiently compile current, comprehensive, and relevant legal information to help those in need.
Often times, a prison library is inadequate to draft or respond to a court document. This can be a serious detriment to one's chances of prevailing in court. Our resources allow us to provide information that may not be available to those who are incarcerated and therefore give them a better chance to see their rights restored.
Our goal at JBB is to help individuals achieve meaningful access to our justice system. JBB is run by Jeff Strutynski, Alexandra Roche, and Seth York, three recent graduates from the City University of New York School of Law.
Justice Behind Bars meets with the individual so we can learn how their rights are being violated. We then do extensive legal research and create a personalized legal lesson plan to help guide the person through the civil litigation process. Each lesson plan contains relevant legal resources and sample documents. Finally, JBB will edit and make comments on legal documents that have been prepared.
Justice Behind Bars provides individuals with legal educational resources only. It does not provide individuals with legal representation. People who choose to use our services do not enjoy any attorney-client privileges with the members of Justice Behind Bars.
